Good Friday

in fount of water.jpg

The traditional Good Friday service begins at Noon and concludes at 3 pm.

In response to the unusual circumstances through which we are persevering this year, this year our Good Friday service is organized into 2 Parts:

PART 1 - An online service of prayer, hymns, and Scripture reading via Facebook, beginning at Noon. This will be a little over an hour in length.

PART 2 - A self-guided Devotional designed to give you a structured time

of prayer and reflection. The Devotional Guide is on the church's website.

We intend for the Good Friday Devotional (“Part 2”) to be used immediately after the conclusion of the online service. If you follow our outline this will take you until about 3 pm. The Devotional guide contains prayers, Scripture readings, hymns (prerecorded by friends of the parish), and 7 short homilies (audio files) that were recorded earlier this week by your clergy and the members of our Fellows program.  Please find a quiet place and fight against the temptation to give into distractions. A strict fast from food is a traditional component of our Good Friday observance.
